Our 2027 Texas Speed Puzzling Championship will be held on January 23rd in 2-3 locations (using the same puzzles in both):

  • DFW: The venue is the Grand Hall at NRH Centre, 6000 Hawk Ave, North Richland Hills TX 76180.
  • Houston: The venue is The Atrium Center, 21575 US Hwy 59, New Caney, TX 77357.
  • San Antonio: TBD, if both other locations sell out. If we open a 3rd location, you may transfer your tickets to San Antonio at no additional cost.


The ALL AROUND ticket includes all 5 races:

  • Solo (9 am - 11 am) 90 minute time limit
  • Pairs Relay (11 am - 12 pm) 45 minute time limit
  • Pair (12:45 pm - 2:15 pm) 1 hour + 15 minute time limit
  • *Trifecta (2:15 pm - 3:30 pm) 1 hour time limit
  • Team (3:30 pm - 5:30 pm) 1 hour + 45 minute time limit


*Trifecta Stacked Relay description:

An upgrade from our Puzzle Pyramid events, this one has no elimination rounds and no downtime. When we count down "3, 2, 1, GO," 1 person will begin racing SOLO with a 100p puzzle. At the same time, the other 2 will begin racing as a PAIR with a 200p puzzle. As soon as both puzzles are finished, you will begin racing as a TEAM with a 300p puzzle. The fastest team of 3 to complete all 3 puzzles wins.


Registration Steps:

  1. Select the location (DFW vs Houston). San Antonio will be added later if needed.
  2. Select the division for Solo, Pair, and Team races. Advanced uses the higher piece-count puzzles. Casual, Junior (under 16), and Senior (60+) all use the lower piece-count puzzles. The default is Advanced, but you may select the others if desired. All members of a Junior pair or team must be under 16. All members of a Senior team must be 60+. Teams with mixed ages must choose Advanced or Casual.

Please check in for the Solo race at 9:00 am. Instructions will be given at 9:15, and the contest will start immediately afterward.


For each event, if you do not finish the puzzle(s) within the time limit, you will be given credit for any groups of 2+ connected pieces. Rankings will be established first by completion time, and then by the number of pieces placed.


For each event, the contest puzzles are yours to keep.
