This Team event will feature a MYSTERY 1000-piece puzzle. It will come with no box or image.


Registration deadline is Sunday, May 31st or while supplies last.


(THIS CONTEST WILL NOT BE HELD ON ZOOM).


Competition window: July 1 - 14, 2026 (by submitting a timelapse video)

Using a 1000p MYSTERY puzzle


How it works:

  • Contest open to everyone, anywhere (free shipping within the USA)
  • Limited to 50 entries
  • Gather 3 of your best speed puzzling friends to join you
  • Compete anytime between when you receive your puzzle and Tuesday, July 14th
  • Record a time-lapse video of your team assembling the puzzle
  • A timer must be visible at all times on the video
  • Only your first attempt is eligible to count toward the results
  • Cutting tools are allowed to be used to open the shipping package and poly mailer
  • Sorting trays (any size and quantity) are allowed
  • No spatulas or puzzle scoops may be used to move pieces around


MYSTERY 1000-piece instructions:

  1. Add this product to your cart and complete the checkout process.
  2. We will ship your puzzle to you sometime in June.
  3. When your package arrives, DO NOT OPEN IT yet.
  4. Gather your team of 4.
  5. Choose a white puzzling surface. (If you don't have a white table, please place a white poster board or foam board on your table).
  6. Set up your recording device in time-lapse mode.
  7. Place the unopened package in the middle of your puzzling surface.
  8. Place a timer so it is visible within the camera frame.
  9. Double-check that the poly mailer and timer are both visible on camera.
  10. Start your time-lapse recording.
  11. Wait at least 2 minutes before starting your timer.
  12. Start your timer.
  13. Open the poly mailer in view of the camera.
  14. Start puzzling!
  15. When you place the final piece, stop your timer.
  16. Keep your time-lapse running for at least 5 extra minutes to ensure your finish time is captured in the video.
  17. Take a photo of your finished puzzle with the timer visible.
  18. Submit your results between July 1 and 14th. (We will send you the link to the Google form in advance).
  19. On or after July 15th, post your time-lapse video to Facebook or Instagram with this caption: "Team (Your Team Name) finished the SpeedPuzzling.com July 1000 piece Team MYSTERY puzzle with a time of (Your Finish Time)! @speedpuzzling #speedpuzzling #mysterypuzzle"


Entries will be validated by July 17th, and results will be posted shortly thereafter.
