- Sign up ONCE and get puzzles and Zoom links sent to you AUTOMATICALLY every month.
- Each month, every contest is held LIVE via Zoom. (Offline participation will still be allowed if there is a schedule conflict. See here for updated instructions.)
- Each month, every puzzle will be undisclosed. (We will not announce the puzzle names or show the images before the Zoom call).
- Each month, every puzzle will be sent to each Groupie--usually about 2 weeks in advance. (Each puzzle will be concealed in its own poly mailer.)
- Prizes will be awarded (personalized wooden puzzle trophies + eGift cards or puzzles) to winners in each division. (Top 3 for each division with 20+ entries, Top 2 for each division with 10-19 entries, & Top 1 for each division with 3-9 entries).
- Puzzle companies sometimes sponsor the Groupies events (instead of SpeedPuzzling.com).
- Groupies may choose up to SIX different counts & divisions.
- Why so many contests? Before COVID-19, we had identified 80 speed puzzling contests that were to take place in 2020--all over the USA. (See the map here). Hardly any were done virtually back then--if any. Now we host 9 contests per month, and ours are accessible anywhere in the USA--and internationally! Pick and choose the ones that fit your schedule!
- How are the Groupie puzzles selected? We choose the puzzles based on availability, affordability, brand quality, and image. We also select a wide variety of styles.
- What does the Groupie fee cover? The puzzle, LIVE Zoom event, sales tax (except in Texas), shipping within the USA, and prizes for the winners. We can ship internationally, but we'll need to calculate an additional shipping cost based on location.
